Projects
Our research and development work extends over a wide range of learning provision from Key stage 3 to adult education including academic, vocational and informal learning. Some examples of recent projects include:
Research
- fieldwork for a study of the use of added value in Further Education
- a study of progression, and barriers to progression, from KS4 in a Midland City
- mapping partnership provision for 14-19 vocational progression in a rural county
- support for strategic area review process for a local LSC
- a national quantitative and qualitative study of good value in non-accredited adult learning (PCDL) resulting in models of effective practice to increase participation in adult learning within existing funding envelopes
- mapping provision of E2E, apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships in a midlands county
- research on progression from advanced apprenticeships to level 4 (NVQ / HE) provision
Project Development
- strategic development of a Neighbourhood College network based on community and neighbourhood centres
- developing local protocols for Increased Flexibility school/college partnerships for a local LSC
- partnership support and development for 14-19 initiatives
- production of guidance materials and implementation training to LSC contract managers to achieve good value in PCDL provision
- quality improvement contracts with a wide range of local authorites, colleges and national agencies
